{Our New Journey}

Seven and a half years.....two tours in Iraq.....and the long process of a med board....The Mr is finally medically retired from the Army. It was a hard decision to make.....but we are happy to start down this path of our life.
Long story short.....I don't want to go into the past and tell all the decisions that we had to make....rather what's going on now. :-) WE MOVED TO SPOKANE WASHINGTON!!! It was a hard decision to move away from family and friends and even the school.....but we are also excited to be here with family and friends.
We have moved in with our sister and her husband and family. We are renting the upstairs of their house. It's really nice and it's working out great for all of us. :-) The Mr is enrolled at SFCC for summer quarter and I am looking for a job. The Mr's Dad, Big C has offered to watch the boys when our schedules over lap and that is a huge blessing to us.
We have been busy busy with unpacking and organizing things.....lots of things to get into small places lol Even with all the stuff that we purged before we moved I'm finding myself purge even more....which is a good thing! :-D
So far this is the journey that we are traveling.......And I'm going to do my best to keep up with this blog again. :-D

Mr E & Mr A have really been into basketball lately so we brought them up to the park so The Mr could teach them some things and we could all have some fun.....and of course I could take some pictures.....lol..... :-D

{Little Mr @ the ER}

We had to spend the morning and leading into the afternoon in the ER with our baby Little Mr..... :-(

Poor baby.....The other day I noticed he had a scratch on his left index finger....not a big deal really. Well over the next couple of days I noticed it getting red.....I showed The Mr and he said it wasn't anything to worry about (The Mr is a medic in the Army, remember so I rely heavily for him to calm the 'mommy nerves' when it comes to the kiddos). I was keeping it clean and keeping a close eye on it.....it was getting worse though. :-S

Well, when I got Little Mr up this morning I noticed that the 'puss' had started going AROUND his finger and that there was more red......so I brought him up to show The Mr and now I'm pretty sure we should bring him in. So we got all the kiddos situated....shuttled Mr E and Mr A to a friends house to wait for the school bus there, and got Mr T and Little Mr dressed and ready to head to the ER.

Got all checked in at the ER. They got us in a room pretty quickly....I was impressed really. Someone came in to see us quickly too. Don't really know if it was the time we were there or if it was what was going on with Little Mr. :-S

So, they basically told us that he had a cold sore on his finger.....since that is the finger that he sucks.....he doesn't suck his thumb....he puts his index finger in his mouth.....and since he'd had a cut on his finger and then put it into his mouth.....yupp....cold sore. Poor thing.....it looks horrible!

BUT.....that's not all! See.....at the begining of the week Little Mr wasn't feeling well, and was running a fever pretty bad.....so in order to make sure that these two were not related they had to run all sorts of tests. They took some x-rays and ran some cultures and things like that.....BUT....BEFORE they did all that......

they had to put an IV in my baby.........

And yes, he looks all cute and dandy here after it's all done, but that was one of THE hardest things I had to do as a Mommy......I couldn't even BE in the SAME ROOM......I took Mr T and walked around the ER because I could hear him screaming and I was crying.....not such a happy time for Little Mr or for Mommy.

One thing that was really cute though....when he was sitting waiting for his x-rays to be taken.....which was right after he'd gotten his IV put in....he wanted me to hold him.....and he points to his IV to show me and he says "Look Mama....cool"

*shakes head* yah cool huh

They gave him some meds through the IV and sent us home with some more meds and a follow up appointment.....so he should be getting better soon. But they said all is well........we'll see how it goes. :-)

So we are all home safe and sound from a long day at the ER........

{My Stinky Camera}

I'm really not too sure why.....but my camera has been acting really weird and this has been going on for months and months now. It's been really really frustrating. Now, I have JUST realized two things.....

I haven't been taking as many pictures I would like to....or should be. I thought it was because of the whole camera thing...then I thought that maybe it was becasue I was fat (but I was usually behind the camera so it couldn't have been that).....I realized that I had really only been taking pictures because The Mr had been in Iraq and I hadn't wanted HIM to miss out on the kids growing up! UGH EYE OPENER.....I don't want me or him or THE KIDS to miss out on them growing up either! DUH!
AND the stinky camera has been acting up....I'm able to get a couple pictures here and there, but not many and it's never a sure thing that it will even turn on. I am able to use the camera on my phone, but come on that doesn't really take very good pictures and you have to wait FOREVER to take another picture.....and then you can't take very many of them.....and then you have to send them individually to your email only to download them to your computer to download them to blogger.....UGGGHHHH!!!

Yupp......that's how it's been going.....uh huh......so I have these rechargable batteries that I have been using FOREVER with my camera.....like since I got them.....and my loverly sister reminded me that sometimes those things die too.....ummm....yah so I'm going to hopefully replace those soon and see if that works.....because I'm getting really sick and tired of not having a camera.

SOOOOOO on to my other reason for this post......well I've also realized that I've had it stuck in my head that I need pictures to update our family blog......I'm not too sure why.....I'm sure that pictures ARE nice to be able to see how the kiddos are growing up and how they look, but I'm sure ya'll would also like to just hear how they are doing....atleast while we'r figuring out this whole camera thing right?? Ummm kay....well since I actually have no clue if anyone even reads this I'll just pretend that ya'll do....kay.... :-)
So, I'm going to try harder to:

Post more often even though I won't have pictures to go along with them.....or if I do they will be lame ones from my phone lol
And when we do get everything figured out with the camera I will start taking pictures more often even though The Mr is no longer in Iraq :-D (which we are all SOO ever greatful for!!!)

Yesterday we went up on the mountain and played in the snow with Oma, The Tante and Her Mr, & Big Mister......we all had such a BLAST! I have pics from it.....I thought I would put this family pic on here first and then when I get a little more time I would post the pics of us all having fun up. :-D

So Here are the close ups of The Mr and I at the end of the night.....I really couldn't choose which one I liked better! lol I liked the first picture better, but not the background lol I think is really what it came down to. And then the second one was my other choice with a better background. lol Overall I think that our costumes turned out really great. :-D It was a fun night and we had a great time. :-D

This year we went to the trunk or treat at the church.....and then we took the boys around our neighborhood for a bit. Then we took them to my parents' house. I still do love living this close to our family. :-) I am slowly making myself more involved with things.....it's a slow process as I'm getting back on track and on the path that I want to be on. :-) I did get pictures of the boys by themselves-but I totally forgot to get them together and get a picture.....silly mommy! So here they are in their costumes! :-D

Also this year The Mr and I were asked to go to an adult costume party.....so we actually dropped the kids off at my parents' house for the night. :-) Here is The Mr's costume.

And I also forgot to get a full picture of us together.....but we did take a couple pictures of us together at the end of the night......thankfully I remembered to do that! lol But I couldn't decide which one I liked best! lol So I'll ask The Mr when he gets home lol And I'll post it soon. lol

Okay...Okay...So since our camera hasn't been working I am stuck with my camera on my phone and other people's cameras. Our Kirby is still out of comission.....so this is the little vacuum that we have been using. Little Mr really wasn't sure about it when we first swtarted using it. It was kinda funny....it liked it but he didn't want to be near it....it was a love/hate relationship. lol

While we were picking up the house before Mr A's birthday party all of a sudden Little Mr wanted not only to touch the vacuum but wanted to vacuum! lol I snapped a quick picture with my phone! :-D It was just too cute not too! lol Now he always wants me to plug it in and let him vacuum!!!! Such a funny kid! lol

Today is Mr A's 7th birthday......and I am really liking this whole list thing for birthdays. :-D With Mr A's birthday and the exception of Little Mr I'll have done one for everyone this year.....I'm thinking that I'll keeping doing this as a tradition......I may even need to go back and think of something for Little Mr since it was his first birthday. :-)
So on to Mr A's 7th Birthday! :-D

{Good.....or.....Scary.....?}

While our friends were here we played all sorts of games, RockBand, board games, videos games, we went to the park and most of the older kids played football.........and of course we played Singstar! :-D It was really nice that the guys let us girls go the store quite a bit by ourselves.....not even with any of the kids! It doesn't happen often for either of us. There were a couple of times where we brought one of the kids, but she is a girly girly that really enjoys shopping, so it's nothing to bring her. lol Well, one of the times we went out.......when we got back to the house we walked in and heard the guys singing......and walked into the living room and found them sitting on the coffee table singing a song on SingStar together......LOL.....it was actually a funny sight!!!! LOL

{Seattle Children's Museum}

Since our friends got into town on Wednesday night we let the boys stay home from school Friday. This is something that we do not usually do. Our friends we knew in North Carolina, and they are in Utah right now, but are PCSing to Germany......so it has been a long time since we have seen them and it will be even long before we will see them again......that is a military friendship. But we have a good one. :-)
So we went up to Seattle.....and we went to the Seattle Center......and walked around and brought the kids to the fountain......I love this pic of all of our kids looking at the fountain.....yes this picture is posed! lol We were told that at 4 they let you into the Children's Museum for a 'donation' so we thought that was a much better deal than paying for 12 people to get into the museum. lol And we had a wonderful time walking around looking at things and taking some different pictures. I took a picture of their family with the space needle in the back ground and they took a picture of our family with the space needle in the back ground too. :-D I can't wait to have that pic! I'm going to frame it for sure!!! :-D It's on their camera though, so they are going to email it to us when they get settle at home. :-) AAhhhhh.....I love the Internet..... :-D
So after the museum our kids had had quite enough......they can only do so much.....which really isn't too much.....our friends decided to keep going.....which I think is awesome, & I definitely didn't want to hold them back.....there is SOOO many things to do in Seattle! :-) So they took off and went and did some awesome things with their kids and we drove back home. I got dinner started, and actually was just about finished as they walked in the door! LOL So, it was perfect timing as we were all more than ready to eat after a long day. :-) We had yummy chicken enchiladas.....we took turns cooking all sorts of delish meals together. :-D

& They came home with these beautiful fresh flowers for me! :-D Aren't they just gorgeous!!! :-D I am SOOOoooo lucky to have such amazing people in our lives!

THANK YOU!!! For a wonderful time and for touching our lives in an amazing & fantastic way! You truely help me realize who I am.....& that it's okay to be who I am. :-D LOVE you guys!!!

This is Mr T and his new shoes.....he calls him is "Dancin' Shoes" LOL He is at such a stinkin cute stage! So everytime he puts on these shoes he starts 'dancing' LOL It is SOOOOO hard not to laugh! And we're laughing cuz it's SOOO cute! He's not too bad.....it's just adorable! lol Sorry about the size of the posed pic I've been having issues lately lol with pictures and software lol I'll get back to it all really......I'm still getting used to my new toy....lol....I'll figure it all out....promise! :-D

Oh! I had nothing to do with picking out these shoes....except trying to talk him OUT of it! lol He HAD to have THESE shoes! lol He is adorable with these though! If I can ever figure out how to video him, and post it on here.....I will totally do that! lol OH! I've seen TONS on blogs with YouTube videos on them!!! When we decided to take the boys to the fair in the first place we were only going to take them to look at all the animals. We love looking at them and see all the different kids there. lol We stopped by the Petting Farm that they had set up. They had a blast in there. We got Little Mr out of the stroller and let him walk around with Mr T and The Mr while I took pictures. :-) It was so cute to see their faces. And Mr T was hilarious! He would pose so sweet with his hand still and his smile pasted because he knew that mom wanted to take a nice pictues of him! Aren't I a spoiled one! lol :-)

I've finally decide that I'm going to do this post in three parts, yes you heard me right.....three.....we just took so many great pictures, and had such a great time that I want to be able to share them with you. :-) They were so cute! :-) So here we go for Part 1! :-D

Ride Tickets!!!!

We were so blessed to be able to get into the fair for free. On Mondays they were having a Military day and we were able to get in free. So we decided to take the two younger ones while the two older ones were in school. As we walked in the gate a lady asked if we wanted to ride the rides, I said yes and she handed me SIX tickets! I was so happy that we would have six tickets for Mr T since we were not planning on buying any. Well we were looking at the rides and decided to get just a couple more tickets to that he could pick two rides with the tickets we already had....longer story short lol......they tickets the lady gave us ended up being 'ride' tickets....so we ended up with EIGHT RIDE TICKETS.......silly parents didn't read the tickets all the way.....each ticket was good for ONE RIDE! lol So he wanted Daddy to go on some rides with him which I of course thought was adorable. :-D Here's the rides he picked. :-D

It's here again already.....school! Goodness....the summers really do fly by....it's amazing! I remember as a child remembering how fast the summers went by....and now...they still do! I can still recall the begining of the summer thinking of all the things we wanted to do this summer lol and now school has started again already!
I got up and made the boys chocolate chip pancakes and english muffins with ham, cheese and eggs....which is something they LOVE! And then for a treat I made them rice crispy treats for and after school snack. Both of which are special treats for them because we don't do breakfast at home since we get free meals they eat breakfast at school...and they get home about 4...and we eat dinner at 5:30...so it's a small quick healthy snack after school usually.....fridays I try to make something 'special' :-D
We're off to a good start. :-) I was able to take pictures by the front door again this year. I know that I don't have the same front door in all their pictures with all our moves, but I try to get their pictures by our front door on their first day. :-D

The other day I helped the boys make paperdolls with my cricut.....it was really fun and we had a blast. :-) They love picking the clothes and colors and having me make them just for them and the doll they are making. :-)

It was very exciting to have Mr E come up to us a couple months ago and tell us that he wanted to get baptised. I feel that this is a very strong and big decision. It is common in our church to get baptised when you are 8....and I'm okay with that...as long as that specific child is ready to do that. I really wanted it to be Mr E's choice....not something that we just did because we as parents believe. It was very exciting. It brought back lots of memories of my baptism and the choices that I made and make every day.

I found a new layout that I want to use for our blog, but I have to figure out how it all works. lol I can do this....I just need the time to sit down and look at it all....so please bare with me while I do this. :-D I sure do love the look of it though! :-D I'm also changing things around a bit so that our names aren't used. I've noticed alot of mom's do this....it's a privacy thing I'm sure...but I've really like it....so I'm going to be changing all the wording and lables etc....thankfully I don't really have TOO many posts to go through. :-D Wish me luck. :-D

I love how imaginative our boys are....the really are creative while playing. lol Mr E and Mr A were quietly playing together upstairs....and then all of a sudden Mr E came downstairs in this outfit looking for where Mr A was hiding....lol....TOO FUNNY!!! :-D You can't quite tell but he's actually got a blanket on his head that goes down his back and drapes down like a cape. lol

Already we have another birthday in our house! Where does the time go?? I still remember my mom & brother, my sister & son, being in North Carolina with me while I waited to go into labor with our third boy while The Mr. was doing his first tour in Iraq......and now here it is four years later! WoW! These first years are just so amazing to be apart of! They learn SOOO much! It's really fantastic to be able to watch and help teach and mold them into the little people they are becoming. :-) So here is my Happy Birthday to Mr T! :-)

1. You are SO creative! I love watching how you play and what you'll end up making next.
2. I love how you can occupy yourself for hours, but then at times you curl right up into me and want to cuddle.
3. I love love love your giggle! :-)
4. One of my absolute favorite things is to watch you fold your arms and ask for help to say the dinner prayer...and how upset you get because you want to say it and Daddy picked someone else for that night.

We love you Mr T and can't wait to keep watching you grow, learn, and blossom into the young man that you will be. :-D

{First Day of Summer...}

Today is the boys' first full official day of summer! Yay! I am so excited to spend time with them & figure out things to do together. I also don't mind the idea of sleeping in once in a while! lol :-D

I have some pics that I've been meaning to post....my computer is acting weird AGAIN...so I'm using my sister's laptop now...so we'll see how much I can get done on it. :-)

This year with Mr A has been pretty rough to say the least....the past month and a half hasn't been too bad though...phew...so imagine our excitment when he came home with a letter stating that he got picked to have pizza with the principle in her office....this is a good thing! lol He has also been bringing home Cub Awards which mean that he was seen doing good and/or nice things. :-D

Today, our oldest turned 9....yes, I said 9....already...wow the time flies by!
I really liked the list on your birthday thing that I have seen else where here in blogland....I did one for The Mr. on his birthday, and I really enjoyed that. SO, I'm gonna do one for Mr E....9 because he turned 9. lol

1. We are so proud of the accomplishments you have done this year in school.

We got Mr E's pictures today too. I love the pictures, but I'm not as happy with the package. The boys had different photographers for their teams, and when they got them taken I thought I would like Mr E's better....not sure why, but now that we have them...I really like what the photographer for Mr A's team put together for us. That's okay, cuz next year I'll make sure that Korie does their team pictures. :-D

Yesterday I caught Little Mr trying to open the garage door....he was reaching up on his tippy tippy toes and reaching really hard....but he was touching the door knob! He is getting so tall now, and getting into so many things! lol And then last night, I was sitting on the couch and he crawled up and sat next to me and was just chillin like he does that all the time! lol TOO CUTE! :-)

At one of my trips to Jo-Anns (I was getting textile medium for the tshirts I made) I found a really cool material....it's peel and stick chalk board, it comes in green, black...AND BLUE!!! I was SO excited to see this is blue. lol And I knew EXACTLY what I could do with it! :-) I have this frame that use to have a mirror in it, but the mirror broke years ago....and my brother made it into a bulletin board for me when he was visiting me when I had Mr T...and he did a great job. BUT I've fallen in love with spray paint....lol....andI knew what I could do with this now. :-) Here is the before picture........

So before I get to my after picture I'll tell ya what I did. :-) I took apart the bulletin that my brother made for me....and I spray painted the frame part (this was my first spray paint job...I don't know why but spray paint has always intimidated me....but not anymore! lol) Then I took the peel and stick and put it on the piece of cardboard that my brother had already used for the bulletin board...it didn't quite cover the whole area, but I had some cardstock that was a real close match that I covered the area at the very top with...and you can hardly even tell. :-) I then took some wide ribbon from my stash and wrapped it around the frame and tied it. I put the backing back on and screwed the frame back together...then I took the ribbon and nailed it into the top of the door, wrapped it back down and tied a pretty bow. Now the boys don't have to ask what we're having for dinner! lol They can read it! :-) It's hanging on my pantry door in my kitchen.....doesn't it look pretty next to my pretty apron that my mommy got me? :-) I love it! :-D

I have been reading a lot of different blogs about making designs for making your own shirts....I really liked this idea....and it got me thinking. I like it when we have matching shirts for things, YES I am one of THOSE. lol And we don't really have the money to be buying matching shirts for all six of us all the time. So I wanted to come up with something that didn't cost much. I had these shirts from a project that I had intended to do last year lol And I have my cricut machine, and I also have craft paint....so all I had to do was buy the textile medium to turn the paint I already have into fabric paint.....so for about $5 I was able to make six shirts! Not too bad! :-) I did a mask style instead of a stencil....it was easier for me to do with the cricut. I cut out the letters from scrap cardstock that I wanted in the font and size for each shirt....I backed each letter with repositional glue and let that dry...then put them on the shirt, and just sponged over them with black paint that was mixed according to the directions on the bottle of the textile medium...let the paint dry some then peeled off the letters and then let the paint dry all the way, and heat set the shirts. :-)

This story starts off track lol Just thought I'd let ya know :-)
We needed to get WA plates for our truck....they expire this month...so I looked online when, where, how, and what we needed to get it done. To make a long story shorter...lol...it took a while. So The Mr was already up late and we had accomplished as much as we could for the day with the truck. I asked him if he would like to take me out to lunch at my favorite restaurant. :-) He said that he wouldn't mind that too much. lol So we headed over to Olive Garden for lunch.....but when we pulled up the parking lot was empty and the sign said they didn't open until 11 and it was 10:45.....so we headed to the mall to kill some time. I actually thought that The Mr just wanted to eat there instead. lol We dallied got a game...The Mr got me a cover for my phone that I've needed....and while I was picking that out Mr T took The Mr into a store to look around. They ended up in Zumies looking at hats. Mr T really liked these hats....."Daddy, you should get this one" So, Mr T wanted to show me the hat that Daddy should get. lol he brought me right to them lol and I took a pic of the two of them together :-)

I have always like these types of hats, and I think that Thr Mr looks really good in it. hehe So he got the one that Mr T had picked out. lol They are just SO cute together! :-DHere is Mr T wearing Daddy's new hat!!! :-D

Little Mr doesn't really like to take baths. lol Not too sure why, but he just screams almost the whole time he's in there....he's just always done that. And his hair has always been just too cute. lol So when he got out of the tub all tired and cranky from screaming....his hair was sticking up & I was able to get a pic of it. lol

{I Want Green Spiky Hair}

The Mr has to go & get his hair cut quiet often being in the Army. Mr T has been wanting another haircut....and I was okay with this cuz it's a pain to get him to hold still to brush it, and his bangs were getting a little long....I didn't really like them in his face. He sure is cute though! :-) So, we went with Daddy to get hair cuts....We were talking to him about how he would like his cut. And he told us he wanted green spiky hair! lol SOOOO....The Mr said he was okay with it. I asked the gal to keep it a little longer, and not to use the clippers. He did a great job holding still during his hair cut......he was SO COMFORTABLE.........

That he FELL ASLEEP in the middle of his hair cut!!!! lol TOO CUTE! :-) He even slept through her cleaning up the edges with the little clippers! lol

Even after she was done, I picked him up and put him in the stroller (which is what we brought in for Little Mr lol) HE WAS STILL SLEEPING!!! lol He slept all the way through The Mr getting his hair cut until we were getting the boys into the truck! lol

And here is his "Green Spiky Hair" :-) We already had the green colored spray at home. :-)

Here are our RockStars! Secret Society of Thursday.....is the band that Mr E came up with for RockBand. Isn't that an awesome band name?? lol Love it! :-) I have a video too that I'm going to try and figure out how to get on here. :-) I know I can....just gotta sit down with the time to do it. :-)
I'm really glad that we ended up with this game....it has been a great time with our family. :-) Little Mr will even join in with them. lol He'll grab a microphone and sing into it....or if he can get to a guitar before one of the boys I've seen him try to rock it! lol :-)

Well, it's not really the computer's fault.....it's the ridculous people that think it's 'fun' to write nasty virus and ruin people's computers...people they don't even know! ARG!
Somehow there was a nasty virus on our computer that I wasn't able to fix with our scans. :-S It was NOT fun! Thankfully we were blessed with a great deal with an external harddrive, so we didn't have to worry about our pictures....we have other things on our computer that would suck if we lost it, but NOTHING compared to the worry of lossing our pictures! So it took a while to get our computer into a shop, fix, & back up & working for us. Lame! But now I can update! lol So I'll be back blogging AGAIN! lol You'll get picutres though! & I have some pictures of Ace who also had his birthday that I'll blog. :-)

{At The Park}

I absolutely LOVE IT when I'm able to get all four of the boys together in a decent picture!!! :-D
We went to the park as a family! The boys were needing to get some energy out & it was about the time that The Mr gets up on his weekends off.....so I asked if he'd like to go to the park together. :-D It was SO windy and COLD! lol But of course the boys don't notice things like that! lol
Mr E was playing with Little Mr and he took him down the slide...and then Mr A slid down behind them and got stuck cuz they didn't get off the bottom fast enough....and I grabbed The Mr's arm and was like "That would be a GREAT picture!" lol OF COURSE! lol So I went and got the camera, and asked the boys to do it again....which they thought was fun! lol & I also asked Mr T to slide down.....and snapped a few pictures and was able to get one that we liked. :-) AND I didn't even plan them all in blue! lol That just happened!!! hehe

The Mr had to work this weekend....he had to work our anniversary too....and call me a sap, but I like to be with my husband on holidays....I mean come on especially if he's actually in the country it would be nice to spend them together. lol So Josh and Cathy came over for the weekend to visit. I'm really glad that we got to spend some time with them, and I really wanted to see Cathy all prego. :-) She looked amazing! :-) We really just hung out...played RockBand, ate some food, watched some movies....lol...the norm around here really. I truly am a homebody. lol I would so much rather curl up on the couch with a bag of popcorn and watch a movie than go...anywhere really...lol :-) So it was a great relaxing weekend for all of us. :-)

Potted Red Tulips.....This is what The Mr brought home Saturday....He worked this weekend, so it was nice when he walked in the door with flowers. :-D He told me that he got the potted ones so that I can keep them....but I truely don't have any where near a green thumb....so fingers crossed & we'll see. lol I am a lucky woman! :-D

I like to make pancakes for breakfast, especially on the weekends. I totally cheat and use pancake mix....but they are completely made with love. :-) I have these metal heart shapes with handles on them-I honestly don't know what they are actually for....but I thought it would be way cute to make heart shaped pancakes with them for Valentine's Day breakfast....I also used them to make heart shaped eggs for The Mr's breakfast. :-) They took a little longer, cuz I could only make two at a time lol but definately worth it. :-)

My Book of Mormon Storybook as told and illustrated by Laura Lee Rostrom......this is a great book to get the younger ones to learn information about the Book of Mormon. We have been reading this in the evenings right before we have family prayer and send the boys to bed. It's been really nice teaching them and learning with them. :-) We all enjoy the way The Mr reads stories. I love watching them all curled up....

PS-I was on the phone with Amanda while The Mr was reading (I know, bad Mommy) & she MADE me take this picture of them cuz she thought it was so cute when I told her what we were doing. :-) Love you Amanda!!! Thank you for reminding me that I want to take pictures so that I can remember these wonderful memories. :-)

Just thought I'd show you how cute my nails turned out. lol I painted my toe nails to match too! :-) It's a shame you can't really see my ring.....I love it....it's a CTR ring, and it's so girly and pretty. For Christmas Eve dinner, my mom made a ham....yummy....so I asked her if I could have the ham bone when she was done with it. :-) I LOVE homemade splitpea soup!!! :-) This is a picture while it was still cooking (cuz I was able to get the camera on for a few mins lol) It was SOOOO yummy!!! ALL of us enjoyed it! Last night we had our friends, Billy & Kacy, over and their four kids too....We love hanging out all together. :-) We are very grateful to have friends like Billy & Kacy. :-)
Well, we got the SingStar game for Christmas....and all of our children LOVE to play it when they are hanging out.....I have to admit it's pretty cute to watch them all sing, and even dance! :-) We play this game as a family too.....if you haven't tried it....it's a blast! :-) Right Amanda?!? lol
So last night they were all singing and dancing their hearts out.....since we have four disks now (Thank You Amanda!)...it's pretty easy to do.....and Little Mr got ahold of one of the mics, and he put it up to his mouth and started making noises in it! TOO CUTE FOR WORDS!!! :-) And this morning he was doing it again! lol

Time flies by so fast when it comes to our babies growing up. I'm not just talking about infants either.....they all grow up so fast....and all the while wanting it to go even faster.
So, back to Little Mr. :-) He is already 10 months old today! So I thought I'd try something new...my camera has been really lame lately and not wanting to work, so I do not have many pictures from this last month, but I will get something on this post as soon as I can. :-) I thought that I would do a little update on him to let ya'll know kinda where he's at....cuz it's just darn cute! :-)

<3 He just started clapping his hands....and he also just started shaking his head back and forth...and he'll put his hand to his mouth when he's shaking and make noises! Too cute! :-)
<3 He is standing by himself, and he'll stand in the middle of the room shaking a toy and playing, and sometimes he'll even take one step....but that's as far as he's gone now. :-)
<3 He is eating some solid foods, but he doesn't like baby foods...or to be fed...he wants to be able to put it in his mouth himself. :-)
<3 He's had his two bottom front teeth, and he just had his two top front teeth come in.
<3 When he started getting around it has been by what we call 'low crawling' on his forarms, and kicking his feet out....too funny....well, he started crawing on his hands and knees. lol
<3 We have been able to leave him with someone for a short time....well, I guess I have...lol...

{New Years Eve 2008}

Normally we don't do anything for New Years.....granted I've been alone for most of them. But I usually send the kids to bed like normal, and if I stay up I stay up....I don't try to or anything....just another night in my home.
This year The Mr also got to spend New Years Eve with us. :-) So we had a couple friends over....Kacy & Billy, and of course Amanda was here with us. Mr E and Mr A also ended up making it to midnight. And we really just had a great time hanging out with great people. :-)

Amanda came to visit us for SEVEN DAYS!!! I wish it was longer.....but that's me being selfish! lol She's been over a couple times for the weekend already....and I always wanted those trips to be longer too. lol This time it WAS longer....and still....I want more! lol
We hung out and had a blast as usual. :-)

Can't wait for Spring Break! She'll be coming over for NINE DAYS! yay! And Anna has said that she is going to come over too.....and Serena for a few days too (now THAT'S someone I'd like to stay longer, and longer, and longer-but I'm not going to go into that right now)

{Merry Christmas 2008!}

Okay, Okay, I know I haven't updated since before Christmas.....& I was doing so good too! I've really been out of sorts lately.....so just bare with me, and I'll let ya'll know how things have been going. :-)

Christmas was not what we were planning.....a little disappointed about that. I really wanted to see my family in California...and meet our newest member of our family...our niece Elizabeth. Oh well....can't change the way things turned out.
We did get to spend it with our family here though.....and we live so close this year! :-) That has been really nice. We went over to my parent's house for Christmas Eve. We had a wonderful dinner, and then opened presents. We came home to stay the night here and opened presents with the boys in the morning. Then we went over to my parent's house for brunch on Christmas Day and my Oma, and Tante Amalia joined us...and of course presents for them too. Then we spent the rest of the day at home just enjoying being together as a family this year. Not only are we living close to some of our family this year.....The Mr is also home with us this year, and THAT is something that I am very thankful for.

{Making Christmas Ornaments}

This year I wasn't able to find much of our Christmas stuff....I really don't know where it all went. So, I thought it would be fun to make our own ornaments using salt dough. I've made gifts with this in the past. And I have many fond memories growing up helping my Mom make ornaments at Christmas time for our tree. We used to paint them.....this year I tried coloring the dough....and I think they turned out really great! :-)

For Birthday's we have the Birthday Person pick what we have for dinner. :-) The Mr's pick was soft tacos.....of course....this is his favorite meal. :-) We had Michael and Melissa over for dinner and then Billy and Kacy were able to join us for cake. Overall it was a nice quiet birthday that we got to enjoy with people we love.

Today was SO cute.....Mr E had told me about a project he was doing at school. I'm sure if you've ever talked to kids, you kinda get part of the story or half of it.....in any event it's usually hard to figure out exactly what they are trying to get across. At least that's what it's like with our boys.....they will tell a story and then an adult will tell it.....and I'll be like "OH! THAT'S what they meant!" lol They are so cute! Anyways.....so Mr E......he brought home this beautiful wall hanging! And THANK YOU to the mom's that put in the time to do these for the kids!!! :-) I don't know if he drew the picture (he does love to draw and he's pretty good at it) It looks like the reindeer was traced, and then I can tell he did the background stuff. I do know he colored it in though. :-) And they transfered it to material, and then made a material frame for it. I think he even got to it the material for it.....which are angels....because I like them. :-) He is just TOO SWEET!!! :-) It was supposed to be a Christmas present he said, but he couldn't wait to give it to me. :-)

Since it snowed, the boys couldn't just stay inside where it was warm & cozy.....nope....they had to get all bundled up & go play in the cold. I am so greatful that I was able to simply take a few pictures & then shut the sliding glass door to watch them from there. :-)

This is the view that we woke up to this morning. This was taken from our dinning room window.
Last night the boys and I went over to Oma & Opa's and Mom and I made some sugar cookies.....yummy....well it started to snow......I let the boys play in it a little bit while we were there.....and it just kept snowing. I thought it was about done when we got home and went to bed, but then we woke up and saw that it had snowed more. Very pretty....but I still think it's all icky..... :-)

Friday night we watched Korie & Byran's boys....they have a great time playing together. I love how easily more kids fit into our home.....we had six boys and I hardly noticed the difference. lol I know that this picture is a little blurry but it was the one that I was able to get all six boys in. :-) They were racing cars in the entry way......and everytime Mr A did what he was trying to do he said it was 'tight'.....lol.....it is funny the different phrases we go through.....

I remember using the word cool as a teenager.....and my Opa hated it.....if you didn't use the word with the original meaning then it wasn't being done correctly. :-) Now the kids come home saying things like that too.....and I just smile and laugh and remember being a kid. :-)

{Fake Burps}

So a little background......our two older boys will burp at times, and they think it's funny.....so Mr T has started to fake burp around his older brothers.....and he does this quite often, usually after he takes a drink of something. I've gotten used to it. lol Well, last night Mr T took a drink, and did his fake burp.....then Little Mr made a similar sound.....I tested it to see if he just happened to make the sound, or if he was actually copying Mr T.......he was copying him! lol Too CUTE!!!
Well, this morning Little Mr got up and I was feeding him.....when he was done he burped, not too uncommon....the funny part is that he made the little fake burp sound again! lol
I love the cute things kids do!!! :-)

{Christmas Light Walk}

Monday night for our Family Home Evening we went for a walk to look at all the Christmas lights in our neighborhood. Our friends Tiffany, Wyatt, and Ethan joined us for our cold adventure. We bundled up the kids, got the babies in the strollers, and walked around. It was so nice. I love having family time.....& it didn't even cost anything! hehe Mr E walked around with the camera so he took most of our pictures.....just like Mommy....lol

{A Cold Night}

I should start with a story from the other day about Mr A. :-)
I was making my blog header....the one that I have up....and Mr A say the pic of himself and didn't like it....so he asked if we could rewind and re-take the picture. Too cute! So, I told him that we can't do that, but that is why I ask him to behave when I take pictures of them, and that if he didn't like this picture then he should behave next time I ask to take a picture.
So back to this beautiful picture of our children all togehter......it was SO easy to get this picture.....I only had to take three of them! And for those of you that have take pictures....especially of four kids together.....and/or OUR kids.....lol It was great....and they look so cute all bundled up for our walk. :-)

Little Mr has started to stand by himself.....a couple of times he has taken one step, but then grabs onto the closest thing to him :-) He will stand a few times a day like this now, so we'll see how long until he actually tries to walk. :-) I can definately wait for that.....I know it might sound silly but I'm just enjoying him while he's still so little.....lol.....well, not little.....but young. :-) They grow so fast and learn so much in such a short time when they are young like this.....I love watching them develope into their own little person. It is so neat to see their different personalities. :-) I know this picture is a little dark, but it's the one I was able to get. :-)

On Fridays I like to do something a little special for the boys for their after-school snack. A couple weeks ago I had made chocolate chip cookies for them. I figure it's Friday, and they don't have school or homework so a treat is fun. :-)
Well, I needed to go to the store...and The Mr was home...so I put Little Mr in his booster seat with a cookie. He stayed in there for almost an hour just munching away on that cookie! It was so cute when I got home and saw him like this! lol

I finally found my scale.....although I wasn't too excited to know how much I am right now.....I was definately interested to see how much our little chunk has gained.....
25 pounds....yes I said that correct....lol....Little Mr now weights 25 pounds.....he is definately our little chunk and we love it. :-)

Let me tell you-I love to cook for those that I love. So to be able to have Thanksgiving at our home WITH our family too was such a blessing to me. I love having family near to be with. Not only on Thanksgiving or any of the holidays....but on a daily regular basis. I love it. I am so greatful to be back home in Washington. To have our families so close to us, and to be able to let our children know them and have relationships with them. This was a hard year...I'm not going to go into details....but those of you that know me well enough know that I've had a hard time. I was especially thankfull that my Oma was here with us. I am very very thankful for the relationship that I have with her and that she has with our children...that my children get to know and enjoy her. That means a lot to me....that is one of the main reasons that we wanted to come home. I have a lot to be thankful this year. :-) And I'm glad that I'm able to enjoy that. :-) Hope ya'll had a great Thanksgiving too.
We had a very nice full house.....although the boys were disapointed that there weren't any other kids to play with. They did great though and were very helpful. We had Oma-ma, Tante Amalia, Opa & Oma, Uncle Michael & Auntie Messa, and then all of us. It was great. :-)

This year we walked around about half of our neighborhood....since the houses are so close together we felt that this would yield enough candy for them......BOY were we right. :-) We didn't even have Little Mr do his own trick-or-treating which we've have usually done in the past(let the younger one get candy too) The Mr is home this year, so it was especially nice for me to have him here getting the kids ready to go out and keeping an eye on them while they were trick-or-treating. We drove over to Oma & Opa's to let the kids trick-or-treat at their house, and then we also drove over to Oma-ma's to show her the boys. It is so nice being home and this close to family to be able to do that. Although I have to say that I am still not used to the WA weather again yet. I forgot how cold and dark it is here for halloween....hopefully we'll be here next year, and I'll remember then. :-)

{BoosterSeat for Little Mr}

This is Little Mr playing in his new booster seat from his Great Tante. :-) It folds up so that we can bring it with us when we go somewhere to eat, and it has this neat tray with toys that just clips into the eating tray. I LOVE IT! :-) He is eating a lot more solid foods now that he is sitting at the table with us. And it's MUCH easier for me to eat my food too since I'm not holding onto him! Don't know if that's a good thing or not yet.....lol. :-)

Yes indeed, we got Mr A's school pictures today! :-) I can tell that his 'spiky' hair do did not last until his pictures were taken. And I'm quite suprised about that since we used his dad's hair product to help them stay that day. Oh well, what do ya do when kids play. :-) And for my future reference I'll have to remember to ask my children to take off their coats for their pictures. lol I honestly thought that SOMEONE would have asked him to take if off...it's not like I can be there with them to do. It is frustrating to me that I am paying A LOT of money for these pictures and that someone is not looking for the best picture of my child. So, I'm just going to smile and know that this is Mr A....looking darn cute in his first grade picture. :-)

I thought this might help...here's some recent pics so that ya'll can see how big Little Mr is getting. He's 7 months now. :-) I might do one for each of the boys...I don't know yet. I do know that I'm done for the night, and some of these pics are really cute. :-) It's gets a few pics in here real quick. :-)
